DRAWING CLASS ON COMPOSITION: value structure & perspective

Emphasis on sight developing through drawing

 Instructor: Ron Rogers

  • Saturday, June 29th
  • From 9am to 4pm
  • In the CCAL Classroom
  • The cost for the class is $125
  • Plan to bring a lunch

COMPOSITION IS KING:

How it is used determines the strength or weakness of our artwork.  It is one of the most important aspects of all art.  An artist who is a very skilled draftsperson, painter, sculptor, potter, etc., and has poor compositions creates art that is weak, yet an artist who is less skilled and creates art with very good compositions will have stronger artwork.

Improving composition is what this course addresses.  In the first part of the class, using hands on exercises, we will learn composition using value abd structure.  In the secnd part, we will add instruction in one, two and three point and atmospheric perspective, and how to use it to create stronger compositions.

54th ANNUAL ART SHOW AND SALE

A Special CODY COUNTRY Event

What you see above is correct - this is an open show!  And entries are not juried in - if you enter, (and meet entry form rules)  you are in!   All entries are juried, but only for the purpose of selecting those entries to receive an award.

Hard to break into the world of art shows?  Tired of rejections?  Build your credentials with our show.  This isn't just for those still "trying to pay their dues".  We have artists ranging from those just beginning to explore the art world (and trying to see if they fit into it), to those who who have successfully entered major shows and have a number of collectors.

Show Entry Form

Please read the entry form carefully.  There are important changes from the rules of previous years.  Entries that do not conform will not be accepted.
