Flowers, flowers, everywhere
It is the original painting, not a print. And what a painting! The grizzly bear, icon of the west's animal kingdom, wanders past remnants of fall foliage and across an early snowfall.
While scientists may generally call it the North American brown bear, we'll settle for grizzly. Is this one "Movin' On" for its den or to find a bit more food while it's still available? Hang this painting on your wall, enjoy the beauty of it, and provide your own idea of why it is in this wonderfully rendered scene.
Following the larger image of the painting itself are the raffle details and a brief biography of the artist.

George D. Smith was born in Cody, WY in 1944 and received a degree in architecture from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. Dee studied art under Adolph Sporer & Edward Greigware and has been influenced by such other artists as Koerner, Remington, Russell and Wyeth. This is the foundation upon which he built his very own style.
George's artwork is valued by prominent collectors throughout the west and he is represented by 10 galleries in AZ, CA, CO, MT, NM and WY. We are especially proud of this opportunity to offer one of his paintings, as George is one of the founders of the Cody Country Art League.
