Something new!! The annual meeting will be held Saturday, January 26th starting at 12 noon and it will be a POT LUCK luncheon. Share some yummy food and chat with old & new friends.
The Board will report on CCAL activities for 2018 and outline preliminary plans for 2019. And speaking of plans, start thinking about painting(s) for the 2019 Annual Show.
We’ve been working on events and workshops for this year. But before we finalize a schedule for 2019, we want your input: what you think about what we’re thinking and your ideas for other things. So bring those ideas to the meeting.
We’ll also talk about areas where members have opportunities to help in planning, implementing and/or participating in CCAL activities.
On Saturday, Feb 16th instructor Elizabeth N. Rowe will lead students through new approaches that expand watercolor's horizons while and offer significant benefits.
On Saturday, Feb 23rd learn how to transform a plain white table runner into a work of art. Marie Shirley-Jones is the instructor. Students will leave the class with something to be proud of.
Our Classroom is available for our members on most Friday mornings to paint with your peers. This is a fun group and it's a good chance to meet new friends and share painting knowledge.
This workshop will be taught by professional artist Elizabeth N. LaRowe. The class is designed for artists who have some watercolor experience. She will demonstrate and teach techniques, processes and share her unique finishing techniques that eliminate the need for artwork framed with glass.
Ms. LaRowe holds a B.F.A. degree from the University of Denver and a M.A.T. from the University of Wyoming. Retiring after teaching many years, she knows how to present information in a concise clear manner.

Marie Shirley-Jones from Red Lodge will be here to guide us through a dyeing process that ensures success. Students will paint thickened dye onto fabric and also use dry dye for an exciting twist.
There will be lots of stencils and printing blocks to assist you, or you can come with a plan of your own. You will take your runner home at the end of class, where you will rinse it five days later. The permanently dyed runner can be washed in your machine for years to come. No previous artistic experiences necessary.
