Based in Cody, Wyoming, Phil Hilson is a wildlife, landscape, and astrophotographer. A retired violinist and orchestra teacher, he now captures the beauty of the natural world and deep space, from the motion of birds in flight to the brilliance of distant nebulae. His work has earned top honors, including 1st place in Wyoming Wildlife magazine’s photography competition’s wildlife category.
He will be presenting a talk on an Introduction to Astrophotography, the workflow involved in astrophotography, from planning your shoot to processing the final image. Examples of Phil’s work will be shown.
