INDIGO DYEING Class - with Marie Shirley-Jones. June 15 - (Sat.) 10am to 2pm. Indigo has been used for dyeing cloth for centuries in many cultures throughout the world. In this class students will learn to fold and bundle cloth in a variety of ways to prepare it for dipping into the dye. The option of using melted wax as a resist will also be an option. Students will go home with four indigo dyed, damp, folded placemats that will dry at their homes where they will be unwrapped. Supplies provided. $60 (CCAL Member $54) plus $10 material fee.
